Ms. Connie Adams is a new teacher for the 2018-19 school year, in the 6-9 environment. She was born and raised in New York, and graduated from Pelham Memorial High School in Pelham, New York. She served a voluntary Spanish speaking mission for the LDS church in Boston, MA from 1995-97. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University in 1998. For the last twenty years, she has taught various different teaching positions such as ESL first and second grade, adult education, and was the director of an intercession and after school program in the Clark County and Granite City School Districts. Besides teaching public school, Connie has also taught Kindermusik and private piano lessons. Most recently, she has attended Dixie State University during 2017-18 to acquire her music education endorsement. She was also volunteered as a music director and pianist for the St. George Special Angel mutual. Connie enjoys being a mother and spending time with her 3 beautiful children; Nathan, Julia, and Joshua. She is thrilled to be a part of DMA, and teach according to the Montessori method of learning.
